Once everyone was in Darthow, we got together in the Powshe reception rooms and went to one of the back rooms of a library I know, where we could catch up without being overheard. Jack and I told the others about the visions we'd had, and Thymelixsen told us what he'd found out about the horned silvery tower, which seems to be elusive: not only is it not mentioned except in an original manuscript, but also it's a blank space on the map, and he had a hard time reading about it, or even finding what to read. The words were elusive in some way, a way that didn't respond to his sensing of magic. And he kept on losing his notes, or forgetting he even had notes, I think. It's in the Dronkal Peaks, about 148 miles SSE of Krom, near the border of Higheld territory.

We debated how to get to Elixpor, and which city to sail to. In the end, we want to be stealthy, but we also want to be fairly quick; there are likely people on our trail already, and the faster we go, the more likely it is we can do whatever it is to cleanser ourselves so we won't be killed. It's also faster to travel without our horses (and mules), but we can't afford mounts on the other end unless we sell the horses (and mules) here, so that's what we'll do.

We pooled our funds to figure out what we can afford.
Together, we had
40,329 pinch
-18,000 pinch for 4 horses (there are 4 humans and 4 smaller people; we'll double up)
22,329 pinch
- 1990 pinch for two saddles, bits, and bridles
20,339 pinch
- 1,700 pinch for a Tacomic sword for Cor
18,638 pinch
- 3,160 pinch for herbs for the journey (see below)
15,479 pinch
- 2,100 pinch for 12 Shoppic throwing daggers for Jack
13,379 pinch
- 290 pinch for two climbing kits
13,089 pinch
- 2,120 pinch for armor for May
10,969 pinch
- 290 pinch for a massage kit and a healing kit
10,679 pinch
- 2,600 pinch for a covered wagon (so Thymelixsen can work on his magic in transit)
8079 pinch remaining, divided amongst us fairly equally.

I think we haven't yet paid for passage to Elixpor, though. And I picked up some wineskins, quills, and ink.

The herbs for the journey include:
setman tubers, cat's milk, and losward, which we already had enough of (different kinds of healing and anti-disease spirits);
20 nodol leaves (total: 600 p) which give 3 days' protection from sea vapor spirits
8 ink roots (total: 960 p) which give 12 days' protection from wind spirits (plan to use once we get into the mountains)
4 beshmore (total: 400 p) which drive out wood and spring dust spririts
4 taka roots (total: 1200 p) which drive out mold, fungi, and moss spirits.

And in amongst the flurry of packing, I prayed daily. I don't know whether I'll live through this.
